Designer, she focuses her research on the study of stuffs as independent subject of planning. After the attendance in History of Art at the State University of Milan in 1977, she begins to work with Elio Fiorucci and she follows her experience at the centre of Design in Montefibre.
It was fundamental the apprenticeship at the CDM of Clinio Castelli, Andrea Branzi and Massimo Morozzi during the ’80, when she worked with Mario Bellini Ettore Sottsass Jr., Michele De Lucchi and Nanna Strada. In the 1989 she set up the Metals Group with Aldo Petillo and Davide Mercatali to operate in the research of new solutions as regards the processing and the finishes of the metals.
Thanks this experience she delves into the relation among material, plan and technology like expressed by the paradigm: “Form follows material”.
She is consultant for society and brands like Fiat, Lancia, Piaggio (for the transportation), Cassina Lualdi Porte, Marcarté (for the furniture), Marzotto, Fila, Mandarina Duck, Monclear, Nava, Eurojersey (for the clothing).
It’s well – known her research about the color/design for the lampshade of the lamp Costanzina (Luceplan, 1992), interchangeable in five different chromatic gradation. She holds seminaries about questions relative to the colours as “unquestioned protagonist of the visual language” and about the culture of material at the Domus Academy and at the Brera Academy and she works as visiting professor in others institutes. Today, with Team – Crative Strategic Design defines the plans beginning from the concept and from the meta - plan as process to define the product and its semantic meanings.
